What it is
Ideogram generates and edits images in a web app, an iOS app and through an API. Its own models each fit a job: Ideogram 4.5 takes reference images for photo edits, restoration and consistent characters, 4.0 handles very wide banners, 3.0 adds style presets and color palettes for brand work, and Transparent models output images with no background. It also has a canvas editor, upscaling, batch generation and a video app, plus partner models.
It is a strong pick when the words in an image have to be right. Free accounts get 30 credits a week, but only when signing in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, and everything made on the free plan is public. Paid plans start with Plus at $20 a month and keep images private.
