What it is
Warp is a terminal for macOS, Windows and Linux built for working with agents. You can type commands in natural language, watch and steer agent runs, and review agent-made code changes in its built-in editor before sending comments back. Use Warp's own agent or bring a CLI agent such as Claude Code or Codex. Warp Agent CLI works in any terminal, and Warp Factories run fleets of cloud agents for code review, bug investigation and migrations. The client code is open source under AGPL and MIT licenses.
The free plan includes the terminal, the agent CLI, limited cloud agents and the option to bring your own AI inference, with extra agent usage at pay-as-you-go rates. Build costs $20 a month with $20 of agent usage at API rates; Max is $200, and Business is $50 per user a month.
Best for
- Developers who spend most of the day in a terminal
- Running Claude Code, Codex or other CLI agents in one window
- Teams automating code review and bug fixes with cloud agents
