What it is

Antigravity is Google's development platform built around agents. The desktop app runs several local agents in parallel and groups work into projects; the Antigravity IDE adds an agent manager and codebase understanding; and Antigravity CLI is a terminal agent that replaced Gemini CLI for free and Google AI Pro and Ultra users in June 2026. Browser-in-the-loop agents can handle repetitive front-end tasks, and it offers a range of models, including Gemini 4 Argon. It is available for macOS, Windows and Linux.

Individuals can use it at no charge, with unlimited Tab completions and weekly rate limits. Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions raise those limits. Business plans through Google Cloud start at $30 per seat a month, or pay-as-you-go.

Best for

  • Developers who want a capable free coding agent
  • Former Gemini CLI users on free or Google AI plans
  • Running several local agents at once across projects
