What it is

Riverside records remote conversations in the browser, a Mac app or mobile apps. Each participant is recorded locally on separate tracks, up to 4K video and uncompressed audio, so a weak connection does not degrade the file. Its AI tools transcribe recordings, edit video through the transcript, clean audio with Magic Audio, cut short clips with Magic Clips, and draft posts and thumbnails with AI Co-Creator; credit-based extras include translation, dubbing and AI B-roll.

It suits podcasters and video interviewers. The free plan gives two hours of multitrack recording once, at up to 720p with a watermark. Pro costs $24 a month billed yearly, or $29 month to month, with unlimited transcriptions and 4K; live streaming and webinars need higher tiers.

Best for

  • Recording remote podcast guests in studio quality
  • Turning an episode into short social clips
  • Editing a recording by editing its transcript
