What it is
Raycast replaces the system launcher with a command bar for opening apps, searching, managing windows, clipboard history, snippets and quicklinks, plus a store of community extensions. Raycast AI adds Quick AI on a hotkey, AI Chat with a built-in agent, and AI Extensions that act in tools such as Linear or your calendar. It runs on macOS and Windows, with an iOS app.
The free plan covers the core launcher and extensions but includes no AI. Pro costs $10 a month ($96 a year) with 500 AI credits a month, cloud sync, unlimited clipboard history and dictation; Plus and Max raise the credits and add top-tier models. Monthly AI credits expire after 60 days, and verified students get 50% off Pro.
