What it is
Runway is a browser-based studio for generating and editing video and images. Its own models include Gen-4.5 for text and image to video and Aleph 2.0 for transforming footage you already have, and paid plans also include partner models such as Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana Pro, with Seedance 2.5 from the Pro plan. Every generation spends credits, priced per model and per second of video, and developers can use the models through an API.
It suits creative professionals who want many video tools in one place. The free plan is a one-time grant of 125 credits, enough only to try it. Standard costs $15 a month with 625 credits and no watermarks; Pro and Max add more credits, upscaling and early access to new models. The site moved from runwayml.com to runway.com.
