What it is

ResearchRabbit helps you discover research from a starting set of papers. You add seed papers, and it analyzes their references, citations and co-authors to suggest related work, shown as lists and visual maps. You can keep unlimited collections and share them. It searches more than 310 million articles, and since 2025 it has been owned by Litmaps.

It suits students and researchers doing literature reviews. The free plan is generous: unlimited searches and collections with up to 50 seed papers. ResearchRabbit+ raises that to 300 seeds and adds advanced search controls and alerts for $12.50 a month, or $10 a month billed annually.

Best for

  • Finding papers you missed from a few you already know
  • Seeing how a field connects through citation maps
  • Keeping shared collections for a lab or class
