What it is
Manus is a general-purpose AI agent: you describe a task and it plans the steps and works through them, browsing the web, writing code and producing files. It handles research, including a Wide Research mode, plus slides, web apps, images and other media, and it can run scheduled tasks and connect to Slack.
The free plan gives 300 refresh credits a day, one task at a time and a lighter agent model. Paid Pro and Team plans add monthly credits and up to 20 concurrent tasks; according to Manus's help center they start at $20 a month. Bigger tasks burn credits fast. Meta bought Manus in late 2025, but Chinese regulators ordered the deal reversed in 2026. Manus has since resumed operating independently, and the split led to some account data being deleted.
