What it is
JetBrains AI brings AI features into JetBrains IDEs. AI Assistant adds unlimited code completion from JetBrains' own Mellum model, Next Edit Suggestions, commit messages, error explanations and a chat that can switch between agents: Junie by JetBrains, OpenAI Codex, Claude Agent, or others through the Agent Client Protocol. Junie, the coding agent, also runs in a terminal CLI and from GitHub and GitLab, and plans work before it edits code.
Every JetBrains account gets Junie Lite, a free model, and you can bring your own API keys at provider rates. AI Pro costs $10 a month ($100 a year) with 10 AI credits per 30 days; AI Ultimate costs $30 a month with 35 credits and suits regular Junie use. Heavy agent work can use up credits quickly.
